What types of books do you specialize in?
We specialize in culturally rich literature that celebrates Black voices and experiences. Our collection includes children’s books (ages 5-12), teen and young adult fiction, African and Caribbean literature, African American stories, Black British narratives, cookery books, self-help/wellbeing titles, sports books, and non-fiction works.
Do you have books suitable for classroom use?
Absolutely! Many educators use our books to build inclusive classroom libraries. We offer age-appropriate selections for children (5-9 years and 9-12 years) as well as teen/young adult titles that provide diverse perspectives. Consider our bulk ordering options for classroom sets.
How do you select the books you carry?
Every book in our collection is carefully chosen to authentically represent Black voices and experiences. We prioritize works that educate, inspire, and entertain while broadening perspectives about the global Black diaspora.

Ordering & Account Questions

How do I create an account?
You can create an account during checkout by selecting “Create an Account” after entering your email address. Having an account allows you to track orders, save your shipping information, and receive special offers.
I forgot my password. How can I reset it?
Click “Forgot Password” on the login page and enter your email address. You’ll receive instructions to reset your password. If you don’t see the email, please check your spam folder.
Do you offer discounts for first-time customers?
Yes! First-time customers enjoy 30% off plus free worldwide shipping on their first order. The discount will be automatically applied at checkout when you create a new account.

Shipping & Delivery

What are my shipping options?
We offer two shipping methods:
Standard Shipping: $12.95 via DHL or FedEx (10-15 business days after 1-2 day processing)
Free Shipping: For orders over $50 via EMS (15-25 business days after processing)
How long does order processing take?
We process all orders within 1-2 business days. During peak seasons (Black History Month, back-to-school period, holidays), please allow up to 3 business days for processing.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! We ship globally, though deliveries to some Asian countries and remote areas may take longer or incur additional customs fees. We recommend checking your local import regulations before ordering.
How can I track my order?
All shipments include tracking numbers. You’ll receive an email with tracking information once your order leaves our Indianapolis warehouse. You can also check your order status by logging into your account.

Payments & Pricing

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, JCB, and PayPal for secure online payments.
Is my payment information secure?
Absolutely. We use industry-standard encryption to protect your payment information and never store your full credit card details on our servers.
Why was I charged customs fees?
Some countries charge import taxes or customs fees on international shipments. These fees are determined by your local government and are beyond our control. We recommend checking your country’s import regulations before ordering.

Returns & Exchanges

What is your return policy?
We want you to love every book you receive. You may return items within 15 days of delivery for a full refund (excluding shipping costs). Items must be in their original condition. For damaged or incorrect items, please contact us immediately at [email protected].
How do I initiate a return?
Please email us at [email protected] with your order number and reason for return. We’ll provide return instructions. Returns must be postmarked within 15 days of delivery.
When will I receive my refund?
Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days after we receive your return. The refund will be issued to your original payment method. Please note it may take additional time for your bank to process the refund.
